Which one is Better...? Focus T25 or Insanity..?
Let's Look at their strengths and weaknesses
Focus T25
Strengths
1. Focus T25 is easier than Insanity, and one can easily complete it while testing his/her limits. In other words, Focus T25 speed 1.0 involves stretch breaks which are followed by powerful exercise movements.
2. Focus T25 is perfect for beginners. I have met individuals in their late 30’s to 50’s who loved this program. In fact, several beginners also go for insanity, but once they find it quite hard they soon get discouraged. Focus T25’s initial phase “the alpha phase” is quite easy for the beginners to complete. Besides, it even features a modifier for those individuals who are totally out of shape in order to make them do the exercises easily.
Focus T25 is perfect for those with busy time schedule. With Focus T25 you just need 25 minutes (5 days/week). However, in the second month of Insanity, you will need an hour to complete your regimen, which may be difficult if you have a busy lifestyle and have kids. Great explanation about it here.
Weaknesses
1. Focus T25 may not be helpful for advanced individuals. In fact, when I began Focus T25, I did so after Insanity the Asylum2, a much tougher program. Hence, if you begin Focus T25 after Insanity The Asylum or P90X2, then you will end up burning lesser calories with the workouts because they are usually very short.
2. Focus T25 is not an extremely intense program. In some instances, you really require high intensity workouts to push your limits. Though, there’s no doubt that it’s an amazing program that can help people get in shape, still it won’t give them physique like with the Asylum or Insanity.
Focus T25 Gamma DVDs are separately sold, as they are advanced level of workouts, quite different from Alpha & Beta DVDs. When it comes to Insanity, you can get the whole thing by going for deluxe version, but with Focus T25 you need to buy some of its advanced level programs separately, hence it may turn out to be more expensive for you.

Insanity
Strengths
1. Insanity will help you get ripped muscles in just 60 days, which is different from what you get with Focus T25 (it helps to get in good shape in 50 days and with Gamma its 80 days). Hence, if your aim is to get ripped body and lose all that extra weight, then go for Insanity.
2. Insanity is a vigorous program which will take your body to a whole new level. In fact, the HIIT training in Insanity will help you achieve Vo2MAX.
3. You can buy Insanity as a whole in just a single transaction. Hence, once you purchase Insanity deluxe you will get great workouts all at once. No need to buy anything extra, as Insanity deluxe is a comprehensive package.
Weaknesses
1. Insanity increases cortisol levels due to intense workouts, which may result into some addition of extra fat in initial phase.
2. Insanity involves working out 45 to 60 minutes. However, the advanced second level will require you to work out for an hour. Though, it’s quite effective, it can drain you out of energy for the whole day, as it’s quite intense.
There’s no doubt that Insanity is quite tough and many beginners may find it hard to do. Besides, like Focus T25 it does not has any modifier. In case if you are unable to do power jumps, then you need to be creative and find an alternative that you can do.

Recommendation
Begin with Focus T25 if you are a beginner and are not used to advanced forms of workouts. However, after completing Focus T25 you can immediately go for Insanity. Those who are quite overweight must begin with Focus T25 and those who are in a good shape can go for Insanity. It will help you get best results without the need for you to leave your home.
